The Secret Sauna's Cardrona location is a wood-fired mountain sauna set high in the Cardrona Valley — about 45 minutes from Queenstown airport and 20 minutes from Wānaka. Custom-built cedar barrel saunas look out over the Southern Alps, paired with cold-plunge pools fed by a fresh mountain creek for an adventurous contrast-therapy experience amid the mountains. Book a shared session from NZ$55 per person for a 1.5-hour experience (in a 12-person sauna), or reserve a private sauna for your group: a 6-person sauna from NZ$300, a 10-person from NZ$400, or the 12-person XL sauna from NZ$500 (1.5-hour experiences; longer 2.5-hour options also available). Note the full experience runs roughly 30 minutes longer than your booked sauna time, allowing for arrival, settling in, and cooling off. Bring swimwear and a towel.
